As one of the southernmost AVAs of Napa, Coombsville is the gateway to Napa Valley. We’re a 60-minute drive from San Francisco, accessible via the Bay Bridge and Golden Gate. It’s an hour and ten minutes from the Sacramento and San Francisco airports, and an hour and five minutes from Sonoma County Airport.
The best way to experience the variety of Coombsville is to spend a few days visiting one of our 30 tasting rooms. Appointments are encouraged at most of our member wineries, so get in touch with wineries on our Member Page, and make a reservation in advance.
Each winery is diverse and offers a unique opportunity to get to know the makers and their wines. For example, at Caldwell Vineyards, you’ll taste superb red blends in a wine cave while learning about the country’s only barrel cooperage program. At Palmaz Vineyards, you’ll explore the remarkable engineering feat that is their subterranean wine cave and see how the winemakers use technology to enhance production. At Shadybrook Estate, you’ll go horseback riding through the vineyards before enjoying their Bordeaux varietals.
